CEC was contracted by Colorado Parks and Wildlife to work on a field- and GIS-focused vegetation mapping project for several Colorado State Parks. CEC reviewed vegetation classification data classified according to the National Vegetation Classification (NVC) System, field-verified vegetation, and corrected data in ArcGIS. Also, collected data on vegetation condition an average of 10 vegetation plots. Produced a report summarizing methods and results, GIS data, and vegetation community and condition maps.

“All ethics so far evolved rest upon a single premise: that the individual is a member of a community of interdependent parts. The land ethic simply enlarges the boundaries of the community to include soils, waters, plants and animals, or collectively the land.”
