2021 is a new year, and we are looking forward to it! We were lucky to survive 2020 as a small business and to receive consistent work from our clients. Thank you to everyone who supported our small operation! We are looking forward to some new projects this year:
Completing an Occupancy Model Analysis on the 3 years of wildlife camera data gathered from Lone Mesa State Park for Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
Conducting a baseline biological survey for Ken Caryl Ranch Master Association.
Completing Stewardship Plans for Golden Gate Canyon, Elkhead Reservoir, Yampa River, Ridgway, and John Martin Reservoir State Parks.
Conducting baseline biological surveys and vegetation mapping for the City of Lakewood.
Conducting baseline biological surveys and bat surveys for the Town of Estes Park.
We are always trying to learn new things, even though life gets busy! Here are some resources we are reviewing now that you may find interesting:
The Second Colorado Breeding Bird Atlas - we use this book regularly for reporting and writing about birds of Colorado.
Birds of the World - the best resource out there on bird life history, behaviors, migration, etc.
Braiding Sweetgrass (Robin Wall Kimmerer) - written by a indigenous female scientist, this book is one of our favorites and can teach everyone, something about nature.
Peterson Guide to Bird Sounds of North America (Nathan Pieplow) - a great book for helping to hone in your birding by ear skills!
